So here's a situation I'm in, because as New Horizons gets closer and closer to release date, and as Smash becomes canon in the Animal Crossing world, I have to deal with the idea of detaching Villy from the Red Villager.

I've come to find out that most people don't realize that Villy was supposed to be a retired Smash Villager, and specifically Red. I've had a few older pictures that showed how when he came back from the Smash Tournaments and that he was upset to see his home town changed, which leads him to become a lazy bum.

Switching Villy away from Red isn't a big deal, but it also comes with knowing that people don't really think that Villy's story has a canon... or a progression when they see him sleeping around with so many animals. It's all just dumb drawings that I do for my enjoyment, but I take some of it seriously enough... and I don't know if others do too.

The weirdest question though is the possible change of Villy's eye color, which seems dumb because I've never had to change his eye color. I would hope that in New Horizon, I get an option to do the dark red color that I draw him with, but I've been playing with Green eyes for the longest time, only because they fit the character I'm playing as in Pocket Camp and New Leaf.
